Work experience: Fire Chief Saldana is a 1981 veteran of the Mission Fire Department, and as the Fire Chief, he oversees the Administration, Fire Prevention and Operations divisions of the Fire Department. In addition, Fire Chief Saldana serves as the City's Emergency Management Coordinator and as a Commissioner on the Texas Commission on Fire Protection for the State of Texas. Fire Chief Saldana holds firefighter, fire inspector, fire investigator and fire instructor certifications from the Texas Commission on Fire Protection.
